About
For Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes in San Leandro, Hierba Mala Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is here to help beginners and experienced grapplers alike. We run structured martial arts and jiu-jitsu training for students across San Leandro and the East Bay, with coaching from Professors Luis, Bry and Tony.
Many of our students arrive with no combat sports background, and we take pride in building a patient, welcoming environment where even tough moments feel motivating. Our classes balance solid technique with plenty of good energy, and our team is supportive, down-to-earth and invested in helping each other grow.
For members who want to test themselves, we offer focused training and a clear path to competing, so our students can work toward their goals on and off the mats. Our community keeps people coming back, with many finding that training improves their overall health and gives them energy for the rest of the day.
