About
For capoeira, Afro-Peruvian dance, West African dance and music classes in San Leandro, Crossroads Culture and Community Center is here to help. Our space brings art, music, movement and community to families across San Leandro and the East Bay.
We offer capoeira for every age, including a weekly class for toddlers starting at 18 months, led by a preschool expert. Our program also includes Afro-Peruvian dance, West African dance, music classes and workshops led by performing artists.
Students tell us they enjoy learning martial arts alongside drumming, traditional instruments and rhythm-based movement, which gives kids a rich cultural experience. Our instructors are kind, fun and skilled at working with children, and adults can join our classes too.
We are a BIPOC-owned space, and we aim to feel like a second home for everyone who walks through our doors, with a reading nook and lending library to enjoy.
