At Bradley J. Engwall, MD, we help families and adults across Berkeley and Alameda County find lasting relief from emotional and mental health challenges through thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care. We combine psychiatric medication management with talk therapy, and we use testing to guide treatment decisions so each plan fits the person in front of us.

Our work includes neurofeedback, a brain-based approach we have used over many sessions to address emotional lability, irritability and related concerns. We take time to listen closely, meet every client with compassion and empathy, and explain the reasoning behind each recommendation.

Many of the people we work with have tried other approaches before, and we bring a low-key, approachable style that makes it easier to share what is really going on. We also teach practical tools such as mindfulness meditation that clients can use between visits.
