About
Looking for indoor rock climbing in Berkeley? Benchmark Climbing offers a welcoming bouldering gym in a former Walgreens, with routes that suit climbers at every level.
Our desk staff are friendly and personable, and many of them climb themselves, so you'll find a community that genuinely loves the sport. We host events and tournaments throughout the year, and experienced climbers from across the East Bay often train here alongside newcomers.
Members can also take advantage of tutoring, a free shower room, and a co-working space with wifi for when you need a break between climbs. Our routes are fun yet challenging, and we keep our holds in top condition for climbers coming from Berkeley, Oakland and beyond.
New visitors can take advantage of our two-week starter deal, which includes free chalk and climbing shoes.
Visit our website to learn more, or stop by and see the gym for yourself.
