About
Strength, confidence, and a welcoming community: that's what we offer at World Oyama Karate. Our karate school in San Mateo serves families and adults across San Mateo County and the Peninsula who want to build both body and mind.
Our training is intense and purposeful, and our students tell us it leaves them physically stronger and mentally empowered. Our lower belts are known for holding their own in sparring, a result of the focused, demanding workouts we run every class.
Students who arrive from other karate schools often notice the difference right away, and we're proud of the skill our students develop. We keep the atmosphere friendly, so newcomers feel at home from their first session among people who are genuinely supportive.
