About
Based in San Rafael, Vonnegut Thoreau Construction delivers high-end residential remodels, full gut renovations and fire damage rebuilds for homeowners across Marin County and San Francisco. We take an architect's vision and carry it through to a finished home, with careful attention to every detail and clear, steady communication from start to finish.
Our team is hands-on, enthusiastic and skilled, and we take pride in doing the work well on projects where quality really matters. When a home needs more than a simple fix, we help assess the damage, design the rebuild and keep the property secure while the plans come together.
We are open about the issues and options on each job, so our clients always know where their project stands and can make decisions with confidence.
