About
At The Social Study, we bring Western Addition neighbors and visitors in San Francisco a relaxed brick-walled space for gourmet coffee and pastries by day, then wine, craft beer and cocktails by night. Our bread pudding is a longtime favorite, rich and fluffy, and our menu of drinks and snacks makes it easy to stop in for an afternoon catch-up or an early evening pick-me-up.
Guests tell us they love settling in with a book or meeting friends, and our staff works hard to keep things welcoming even on busy nights. Our happy hour and 80s-90s music set a lively, laid-back tone that's perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city.
Whether you're near Japantown or coming across town, we'd love to see you here, so stop by and say hello.
