About
The San Francisco Capoeira Academy is a martial arts studio in Nob Hill, San Francisco, dedicated to teaching traditional Brazilian capoeira to children and adults. Our approach is down-to-earth and welcoming, and we meet students where they are, whether they are taking their first class or returning after time away.
Our curriculum is varied and well-structured, covering the fundamental capoeira Angola vocabulary, musical instruments and rhythm, and the strength and endurance that come with regular training. Our instructors pay close attention to each student's individual needs, giving direct, frequent feedback in a sensitive way while building a sense of collaboration and community in every class.
We train in the style and tradition of Mestre Nô and honor the history and roots of capoeira with sincere professionalism. We serve families and adults across San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area who want a supportive community and an authentic introduction to capoeira.
