About

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center brings long-term addiction recovery and alcohol treatment to South of Market and the wider San Francisco community. Our program is built around the whole person, combining practical tools for getting back on your feet with a faith-based, spiritual element that many of our residents find deeply meaningful.

We have walked alongside people who have relapsed and returned, and we know that lasting sobriety often takes more than one attempt, so we keep our doors open to those who need another chance. Our meals are a point of pride here, and we believe that sitting down to good food together is part of rebuilding health and community.

Care is offered on a free or low-cost basis, tailored to each person's circumstances, so that cost does not stand between someone and the help they need. We serve people across San Francisco and the Bay Area who are ready to build a sober future, and we are honored to be part of their journey.
