About
San Rafael and families across Marin County turn to The Martial Arts Academy of Marin for karate and martial arts training that builds discipline, confidence and self-control. We teach Okinawan karate rooted in real-world effectiveness, with a focus on the philosophy and traditions behind the art.
Our programs for children blend kindness with clear structure, so every student learns the rules, feels supported and is challenged at the right level. We keep the emphasis on learning the art itself rather than chasing belts or competition, creating a safe, non-competitive space where students grow both physically and mentally.
Our lessons often close with a short story and a lesson to take home, reinforcing the warrior spirit and mindfulness we bring to every class.
Whether you're looking for a first class for your child or a serious martial arts practice for yourself, we invite you to visit our website to book your first class.
