The Chef's Table at Pierre Coste Dining Room

Refined, seasonal dining and warm, attentive hospitality, all served at a remarkably fair price: that's what we offer at The Chef's Table at Pierre Coste Dining Room. We're a student-run American restaurant at City College of San Francisco, where culinary students prepare the food, pastries and desserts, serve each meal and manage the dining room themselves.

Our kitchen cooks with local and seasonal ingredients, so the menu changes with the harvest; in autumn that might mean an Asian pear salad, persimmon dessert or pumpkin crème brûlée. Guests often remark on the care that goes into every dish, from fresh ravioli to our baklava and chocolate tart, and on the friendly, welcoming team who check in on you throughout the meal.

Because this is a working training kitchen, our timing and service are still developing, and our students are proud of the skill and effort they bring to every plate.

We serve diners across West of Twin Peaks and throughout San Francisco, and walk-ins are welcome, so call or stop by to join us for a memorable meal.
