About
Residents across Walnut Creek and the East Bay turn to Tai Chi Mantis Institute for martial arts instruction that builds strength, balance and focus at every stage of training. We are a martial arts school in Walnut Creek, teaching the traditions and practical techniques of Tai Chi and Mantis kung fu to students of many ages and backgrounds.
Our classes are designed to be approachable for beginners while still offering depth for those who want to keep developing their skills over the years. We take the time to explain the reasoning behind each movement, so students understand how their body and breath work together rather than simply copying forms.
Our instructors are patient and attentive, and we focus on steady progress that feels rewarding rather than overwhelming. Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, reduce stress, or learn a traditional art for its own sake, we welcome you to visit.
Explore our programs on our website, or give us a call or stop by to find the class that fits you.
