About
Looking for acupuncture in Oakland? Sliding Scale Acupuncture offers thoughtful, personalized Chinese medicine care in the Oakland Avenue/Harrison Street area, serving neighbors across Oakland and the East Bay.
We begin each visit with a detailed evaluation of your health concerns, then focus treatment on what matters most to you, whether that's digestive complaints or the everyday tension that builds up in the body. Our practitioner is knowledgeable and curious about your experience, happy to talk through body questions and explain the reasoning behind each treatment.
We also offer gua sha for targeted relief of tight muscles, along with a supportive, non-intimidating space for people who want to feel heard. Many of our clients come to us during difficult stretches, and we make room for them to be honest about what they are going through.
Sessions are calm and relaxing, and many people leave feeling noticeably lighter.
