About
Families across the Mission and San Francisco turn to San Francisco SPCA Veterinary Behavior Service for compassionate help with fear, anxiety and reactivity in dogs that makes daily life at home and on walks calmer and more connected. We work alongside our veterinary behaviorists to find the medical and behavioral causes behind a pet's struggles, then build a plan that fits each animal and the people who love them.
Our team is known for patience, thoughtful explanations and honest options, so you always know what to expect and what comes next. We understand how hard it can feel when a beloved pet is struggling, and we meet owners where they are, offering real tools and steady encouragement along the way.
Many of the dogs we see are rescues with hard starts, and we help their families build confidence, trust and better routines over time.
