About
At San Francisco SPCA Adoption Center, we help families across the Mission and San Francisco find a companion who fits their home and their lifestyle. Our team takes the time to learn what each adopter is looking for, so we can match dogs and cats with people who are realistic about what they can manage.
Visitors often describe our staff as patient, welcoming, and genuinely caring, and we work hard to keep every adoption visit calm and unhurried. Our animals are cared for in a shelter that also supports those facing the hardest moments with their pets, offering compassion and real hope for the animals in our care.
Adopters leave with supplies and guidance to help their new pet settle in, and we are glad to answer questions about food, behavior, and what to expect at home.
