About
Based in Burlingame, Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA Adoption Center helps animals find loving homes and offers wildlife rescue across San Mateo County and the Peninsula. Our team takes great care of every animal in our shelter, and we're known for patient, thoughtful guidance through the whole adoption process, from the first conversation to bringing your new family member home.
We carefully match each pet with the right household, and for dogs we take time to help your resident pets meet the newcomer so the introduction goes smoothly. Our staff and volunteers are knowledgeable about each animal's personality and history, and they're happy to give you the time you need to find your perfect match.
Our adoption fees cover spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and health checkups, giving new owners solid value from day one. Whether you're looking for a cat, dog, or small animal, we'd love to help you find your match.
