About
Papachay Peruvian Coffee is a family-run coffee roastery and walk-up coffee shop in San Carlos focused on bringing single-origin Peruvian coffee from our own farms to the Peninsula. We grow and harvest our beans in Peru, ship them here, and roast them fresh every week, so every cup reflects that careful attention from farm to counter.
Our coffee is known for being smooth and rich, with no bitter edge, and our soy lattes and cappuccinos are a regular favorite among our neighbors. We also serve freshly made empanadas and pastries, including a cheese bread that many of our guests come back for.
Our shop is a friendly, grab-and-go stop for commuters and cyclists across San Carlos and San Mateo County, with a covered spot to sit, plus air, water, and a bike repair stand for riders. Our regulars often stop by to catch up with us, so it feels more like visiting friends than stopping for a quick coffee.
