About
Based in Richmond, Okinawa Karate Academy teaches traditional Uechi-Ryu karate to students of all ages across Richmond and the East Bay. Our instruction is patient and thorough, with plenty of time to make sure every student understands each technique before moving on.
Beyond physical strength, our training is built around developing discipline, character and life lessons that stay with students long after they leave the dojo. We foster a welcoming, supportive community where students encourage one another and grow together, whether they are adults or children just starting out.
Families who have trained with us for years tell us they keep coming back for the culture and the quality of the teaching.
