About
Based in Oakland's Northgate/Waverly neighborhood, Oakland YMCA provides fitness, swimming, youth and family programs for Oakland and the wider East Bay community. Our facility offers a wide range of equipment, group classes, a basketball court, an indoor track and a swimming pool, so there is something for members of every age and fitness level.
We are especially proud of our swim classes for children, along with aqua aerobics and lap swimming for adults. Our after school and summer camp programs give local families a safe, engaging place for kids to learn, play and grow.
Our staff are known for being helpful and flexible, whether that means switching class levels as a child progresses or finding the right program for a new member. Our members come from many backgrounds, and we welcome people from across Oakland and the East Bay.
