Northern California Grooming Academy

San Jose and Santa Clara County aspiring groomers turn to Northern California Grooming Academy for hands-on training in bathing, brushing and full grooming that prepares them to work with real dogs from day one. Our programs pair about an hour of daily theory with plenty of practice on live dogs, and our instructors watch your technique closely and correct it so you build skills that hold up in a professional salon or your own business.

Our students come from all walks of life, and many have left other careers to pursue grooming, so we make sure every newcomer gets the patience and support needed to master the fundamentals. Safety for the dogs is always our first priority, and we teach each student to read a dog's temperament and help even nervous pets feel calm through the grooming process.

Our community is one of encouragement and shared passion for dogs, and graduates often tell us the confidence they gained here carried straight into their careers.

Whether you are just starting out or ready to take the next step, we invite you to book through our website.
