About
For Brazilian jiu-jitsu in Emeryville, Misfit Combat is here to help you train in a welcoming, community-driven academy. We're run as a non-profit, and we've built a space where people feel comfortable walking in as beginners or as experienced practitioners.
Our classes focus on technical, creative jiu-jitsu taught with clear, current techniques and plenty of detail. Our head coach, Cha, is known for approachable instruction and for giving direct, personal feedback after rolling, so students can see their progress.
Practitioners at every level train safely and respectfully, with good rounds and no ego. We're proud of the strong, supportive community that brings people back, and our gym is especially welcoming to women and non-binary students.
