About
For martial arts training in Castro-Upper Market, Maru Dojo is here to help students of every level find their footing. We teach aikido and jiu-jitsu, with classes built for complete beginners as well as those with years of training behind them.
Our approach is patient and respectful, and we pay close attention to each student's individual progress. Many of our members come to us for self-defense skills and stay for the community, the confidence, and the fitness that comes with steady practice.
Our training partners are supportive and welcoming, so new students quickly feel at home on the mat. We're proud to serve students across San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area who want a serious, encouraging place to train.
