About
Mariposa Gardening & Design Cooperative, Inc. is a landscape design and gardening business in Oakland's Northgate/Waverly neighborhood focused on creating living gardens that feed the eye and the ecosystem. We design and install gardens across Oakland and the East Bay, from small courtyards and backyards to larger yards with varied plantings and changing heights.
Our approach starts with listening closely to what our clients want, including unusual plants, special features like rock gardens, and how each area of the yard should be used. We also offer ongoing monthly garden care for clients who want knowledgeable, caring help keeping their landscape healthy and thriving.
Many of our gardens are designed to welcome butterflies, bees and birds, and some even produce fresh fruits and herbs throughout the year. Our team takes pride in being friendly, considerate and hardworking throughout every project, from planning to planting.
