Pinole families and adults across Contra Costa County turn to JP's Kajukenbo Karate for martial arts training that builds real self-defense skills, strength and confidence at every level. We teach Kajukenbo, a traditional style that blends several disciplines, and classes are offered most days of the week so students can build a routine that fits their schedule.
Our instruction is patient and hands-on: we break each technique into steps, then gently correct hand and foot placement so students improve with each class. Every session opens with a short talk and warm-up before moving into technique and practice.
We welcome complete beginners, including adults new to martial arts, and we also run women's self-defense classes. Our students, many of whom have trained with us for years, tell us they leave feeling more confident, more capable and part of a supportive group.
