About
Looking for contracting and woodworking help in Sebastopol? Jerry Kermode offers hands-on instruction in wood turning on the lathe, with a focus on practical, beginner-friendly skills.
Our introductory classes walk students through the core tools, including the rougher, spindle gouge and bowl gouge, and the basic techniques behind beads, coves and a simple bowl. Students also get comfortable with key lathe components, such as the self-centering chuck, so they leave with a clear foundation to build on.
We serve students across Sebastopol and Sonoma County, and across the North Bay, who want to develop real turning skills at their own pace.
