About
Genwakan | 厳和館 brings martial arts training to Alameda and the East Bay. We are a martial arts school focused on building strength, discipline and confidence for students of all levels.
Our classes are designed to be welcoming to beginners while still challenging experienced practitioners. Whether you are looking to get fit, learn self-defense or explore a traditional art, we aim to meet you where you are.
We take pride in creating a supportive training environment where students can grow at their own pace.
