About
At Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) South Shore, we help Alameda families and animal lovers find their next companion through a calm, distraction-free adoption experience. Our team is friendly and kind, and they take time to match each adopter with an animal that fits their household and lifestyle.
We keep our South Shore location quiet and low-stimulation, which is especially good for rabbits and kittens, and we welcome visitors who want to meet and interact with our animals in a relaxed setting. Our adoption fees are reasonable, and we offer discounts to help more pets find homes across Alameda and the East Bay.
We also offer volunteer programs so local residents can get involved and support the animals in our care. Adopters often tell us how much they value this place, and we'd love to welcome you too.
Visit us to start the adoption process, or call ahead to ask about the animals currently available.
