About
Based in the Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco, EXCELSIOR Martial Arts Academy offers karate, self-defense, martial arts and personal training for families and adults across the Excelsior and wider San Francisco community. Our coaches, Martin and Jyn, guide students of every age and level, and new students are welcomed with patience and respect from their very first class.
Many of our families have seen real growth in children's confidence, self-esteem and friendships, and adults who are brand new to training often find a comfortable place to start. Our training culture is warm and welcoming, and we take pride in building a supportive community where everyone can grow at their own pace.
Because our head coaches are a married black belt couple who compete regularly, our instruction blends two complementary perspectives and strengths.
