About
Empire Jiu Jitsu offers patient instruction, a welcoming community, and intense, challenging training for everyone from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Instructors like John and Jake break down moves step by step, so newcomers feel both supported and pushed from the very first class.
Our Basics class has helped many first-timers build confidence and skill, and it's a great place to start your jiu jitsu journey. Our mat is known for a real family feel, where training partners and coaches encourage each other and many members become lifelong friends.
We also welcome visiting practitioners who are passing through, so you can keep training when you're away from home. Serving San Francisco's Mission district and the wider city, we're a place to learn the art, get fit, and become part of a close-knit community.
Call or stop by to join a class and see for yourself why people in the Bay Area keep coming back to our mats.
