About
Based in San Mateo, Elms-Women's Recovery Association provides a women-only halfway house for those in recovery across San Mateo County and the Peninsula. We offer a structured, supportive living environment where residents commit to their recovery one day at a time, building accountability and the daily habits that sustain sobriety.
Our team works alongside each woman to set goals, and we have seen residents return to school and rebuild their lives, with many going on to celebrate lasting sobriety. We know recovery is personal, so we meet each resident where she is and encourage her to take an honest look at herself and decide what she wants from the program.
Many of the women who have called Elms home describe it as a place they will always carry in their hearts, a true home away from home. We are grateful for the generosity of our community, and donations help us continue providing this lifesaving support.
