About
At El Cerrito Martial Arts, we help families in El Cerrito and across Contra Costa County build confidence, self-defense skills and good values in kids of every age and personality. We run jujitsu classes, after-school programs and summer camps, with a mix of structure, active play and a safe, padded space for kids to burn off energy.
Our coaches are patient, kind and flexible, meeting each child where they are and helping even the youngest students focus while keeping things fun. Parents tell us their kids come home happy, tired and grounded, and that they appreciate our respectful, communicative approach to working with families.
We also offer day camps for days when school is closed throughout the year, so working parents have options when they need them.
