Edgewood Center for Children and Families

Edgewood Center for Children and Families is a non-profit mental health service in the Sunset-Parkside neighborhood of San Francisco focused on supporting children, teens and their families through every stage of care. We offer a range of services, from a Crisis Stabilization Unit for acute needs to multiple levels of residential treatment and outpatient care, including support for young people stepping down from an inpatient psychiatric stay.

Our team is caring and well trained, and we take the time to guide each child and their family through the healing process, helping everyone better understand and communicate with one another. Families across San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area count on us for a safe, respectful environment where young people feel genuinely supported and comfortable.

We also make room for everyday life during treatment, with schooling, seasonal crafts, games, sports, cooking and, for longer stays, field trips. We are proud to be LGBTQ+ friendly and to offer a transgender safe space and gender-neutral restroom.
