Somatic healing, trauma-informed care, and practical tools you can use between sessions: that's what we offer at Dawn Angel Averitt - Somatic Experiencing - Trauma Specialist. Our practice in Lafayette serves clients across Contra Costa County and the East Bay who are working through trauma, stress, or difficult transitions.
We draw on Somatic Experiencing, the approach developed by Peter Levine, to help you notice what you feel in your body and release what has been held there. Each session is built around creating a safe, warm, and affirming space where you can share your most vulnerable experiences at your own pace.
Many clients come to us for mental health support, physical discomfort, or steady guidance through a personal healing journey, and leave with insight they can carry into daily life. We also support people who are training in Somatic Experiencing or looking to deepen their own healing work.
