About
Looking for pet adoption in Pleasant Hill? Contra Costa Humane Society offers adoptable cats, kittens and dogs, along with foster care and volunteer opportunities for animals who need a loving home.
Our team takes time to introduce each animal, helping you get to know its personality before you decide. Many of our animals are cared for by dedicated foster families, who give them a warm, home-like setting while they wait for their forever families.
Adoptions are simple and professional, and every animal is vaccinated, dewormed and spayed or neutered before going home with you. We're proud to serve families across Pleasant Hill and Contra Costa County, and our community of adopters, fosters and volunteers keeps coming back to help.
Visit our website to see who is available, or stop by the shelter to meet them in person.
