Capoeira Brasil San Francisco brings Afro-Brazilian capoeira classes to North Beach and the wider city. Our school is built for newcomers, so you don't need any martial arts background to begin, and our instructors are patient, kind and encouraging with every new student.
Capoeira is a blend of movement, music and dialogue, and in our classes you play with a partner rather than fight, which many people find surprising and rewarding. Students tell us they get a strong workout, but what keeps them coming back is the community we have built, both in class and beyond it.
