About
California Carolina Dogs is a dog breeding and training business in Benicia focused on the Carolina Dog, a rare, loyal breed known for its independence and devotion to family. We have been raising and placing Carolina Dogs for more than two decades, helping families across Solano County and the East Bay find a companion that suits their home.
Many of our puppies have come to us through a deep connection with the breed, and we take pride in matching each dog to a home where it can thrive. Our experience with Carolina Dogs extends beyond placement, and we offer guidance on training and understanding the breed's natural instincts, including its tendency to feel unsettled in shelters.
We believe education is part of responsible ownership, so we share what we know about socialization and temperament with every family we work with.
Families who are considering a Carolina Dog, or who need support with one they already love, are welcome to call or stop by to learn more about our dogs and how we can help.
