Whether you're looking to build confidence, get fit, or introduce your child to a disciplined martial art, Alameda Aikikai offers traditional Aikido training tailored to you. We teach the Birankai lineage of Aikido in Alameda, welcoming adults and children from across Alameda and the East Bay.
Our kids' classes blend real Aikido technique with games and challenges, so young students learn the art while having fun and encouraging one another as they progress. Our training is intense and will push you further than you expected, but our chief instructor keeps every student personally challenged without pushing too far, and our background in physical therapy helps everyone practice safely.
Our members form a close, family-like community that is welcoming to newcomers, and we offer the first couple of classes free so you can try it before you commit.
