About
Aikido Institute brings disciplined, hands-on aikido training to Daly City and families across San Mateo County. Our classes teach practical self-defense grounded in the principles of non-aggression and non-competition, with techniques that cover defending against strikes, grabs, knives, guns, and even sword work.
Students often tell us that training builds real confidence, discipline in how they carry themselves, and the composure to handle tense situations calmly. Our instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated to teaching each student at their own pace, whether you are starting out with no martial arts background or are returning to the mat.
We welcome newcomers with warmth and encouragement, and our dojo community makes it easy to feel at home from your first class. Our schedule is not open every day, so please check which sessions are available before you plan your visit.
